They have a single flower. Generally warm to hot growing.

Maxillaria tenuifolia grows in Mexico and northern Central America. It is cool to hot growing and very fragrant. It blooms in spring and summer.

This is potted in bark over peanuts in a 3 1/4-inch plastic pot. There are sixteen pseudobulbs and stands twelve inches above the pot.
