They prefer intermediate conditions and a long, dry winter rest.

Encyclia diota grows in Mexico down to Nicaragua. Needs bright light and a dry winter rest. It is warm to hot growing, is fragrant and blooms in summer.

This plant is in rock in a 4-inch plastic pot. There are five pseudobulbs and it stands twelve inches above the pot.
