Laelia lucasiana grows in Brazil in the mountains of Minas Gerais above 4500 feet. It is cool growing, needs bright light and a dry winter rest. It blooms in early summer.

This plant is mounted on a 2 x 4-inch piece of cork bark and there are six pseudobulbs.
