Maxillaria picta
The genus Maxillaria (Max) contains 650 some species spread throughout the tropical and sub-tropical Americas. They have a single flower. Generally warm to hot growing.
Maxillaria picta grows in Brazil and Argentina. It is a high light, cool to warm growing plant. It blooms in winter and spring and is fragrant.
This plant is in sphagnum over peanuts in a 4-inch plastic pot. There are fourteen pseudobulbs and stands nine inches above the pot.
