Pescatorea dayana var rhodacra - Plant photo by Richard LindbergThe genus Pescatorea contains 12 species from Costa Rica to Ecuador and Colombia. They are bulbless epiphytes with fan shape leaves growing in extremely wet cloud forests at the base of trees.

Pescatorea dayana grows from Panama and south to Colombia in wet mountain forests in low light. It is cold to warm growing and is fragrant.

Good sized plant, good roots, quite a bit of pleating. Var rhodacra grows warmer than other varieties at low altitudes.
