Cattleya bowringiana grows in Belize and Guatemala at low elevations on rocky cliffs. It is cool to warm growing and blooms in the fall. It needs a short rest after blooming. The genus Cattleya (C) contains quite a few species from tropical South America. They do best in a medium that has good drainage and dry between watering. Give them a short dryer rest after blooming.
