Masdevallia pinocchio grows in Ecuador above 4500 feet. It is cool to warm growing and does well in cultivation. It blooms in spring with multiple flowers blooming successively on each spike. The genus Masdevallia (Masd) contains 350 species and are found from southern Mexico to the southern Andes. They are cold to cool growing and can be in a seedling mix or sphagnum. Almost impossible to over-water.
