Pleurothallis palliolata grows in Costa Rica and Panama at altitudes of 3500 to 6500 feet. It is cool to warm growing and needs low light and can bloom just about any time of the year. The genus Pleurothallis contains More than 1000 species growing in all parts of the subtropical and tropical Americas. There are very diverse plant forms and culture requirements from moss-like plants to large ranging plants of several feet in height.
